4.0-M1 postgis-jdbc 1.5.3 dependency issue

JT
There was a problem with the version 4.0-m1 release noted by another user on the original post whereby there is a dependency declared in the pom for postgis-jdbc version 1.5.3 but the repository only has 1.5.2.

There was a response 5 days ago saying that it would be fixed but there is still no change.

When is this going to happen?

Thanks.

James

Hi,

The problem is minor and I'm out of the country now. It will be fixed after I get back, in the second or third week of july. Btw, anyone know of a good maven repository that carries regular updates of the postgis jdbc driver?

Regards,

Karel

Re: 4.0-M1 postgis-jdbc 1.5.3 dependency issue

Nikolai Bock
Hello,

my first quick and dirty hack was some changes in my pom file:

<!-- Hibernate Spatial -->
<dependency>
<groupId>org.hibernate</groupId>
<artifactId>hibernate-spatial</artifactId>
<version>${hibernate-spatial.version}</version>
<exclusions>
<exclusion>
<artifactId>postgis-jdbc</artifactId>
<groupId>org.postgis</groupId>
</exclusion>
</exclusions>
</dependency>

and

<dependency>
<groupId>org.postgis</groupId>
<artifactId>postgis-jdbc</artifactId>
<version>1.5.2</version>
<scope>compile</scope>
</dependency>

Not good, but I don't think there is a big difference between this both
versions.

Regards,
Nikolai
